As part of the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commemoration\, this program features rotating monthly displays that bring to life 150 years of Colorado’s rich heritage and 250 years of the United States’ journey. \nIn March\, the Delta Library will highlight pivotal moments including the Gold Rush & Early Settlement (1858–1859) and the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920\, granting women the right to vote. Additionally\, the Cedaredge Library will host special programs including an Antique Show and Tell for adults and a Scrapbooking Your Story workshop for teens. Join us to explore the people\, places\, and events that define our shared history.

DESCRIPTION:The Build Guild presents a unique two-part workshop: Sand Casting Ceramic Sculptures Into Metal. Led by local metalsmith Ira Houseweart and ceramic artist Ivy Hunter\, this hands-on experience invites participants to create forms inspired by the North Fork Valley—think birds\, bugs\, fruits\, cows\, and antlers. \n\n\nPart 1 (March 7th\, 10 am–2 pm): Meet at The Hearth in Paonia to sculpt your clay figures. \n\n\nPart 2 (March 21st\, Noon–4 pm): Gather at Ira’s FORGE on Roger’s Mesa to transform your clay designs into metal using sand casting. \n\n\nThis all-ages\, beginner-friendly workshop is offered on a gift model: $40/day includes a meal and workshop\, or $25/day for just the workshop. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
