Unleash your child’s creativity and let them discover the magic of cinema! The Grand Mesa Arts & Events Center is hosting an immersive, hands-on Young Filmmakers Workshop for youth ages 9 to 15, running on Tuesdays from October 20th through November 17th, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Designed to teach students the complete fundamentals of cinema, this program guides participants through the entire production pipeline. Students will learn screenwriting, storyboarding, operating cameras, lighting, and sound. Working in small crews, participants will collaborate to write, direct, and produce their very own short films, concluding the series with a fun, celebratory screening!
