The Inaugural Delta Egyptian Film Festival- Cinemortal
Colorado has over 100 film festivals, and now Delta’s historic one-screen theater is joining the party! The Egyptian Theatre proudly presents the inaugural Delta Egyptian Film Festival on Saturday, September 26th, 2026. This celebration honors the incredible filmmaking talent across the Western Slope while expressing gratitude to the community that rallied to save the screen and fund a state-of-the-art projector built to last for generations.
The festival features a lineup of homegrown cinema, including local student films, Hank Braxtan’s American Vampires (fresh off its sold-out premiere at Grand Junction’s Avalon Theatre), and a spotlight screening of CINEMORTAL at 4:00 PM! Directed by Tycho Wade and presented by 8 Ball Films, CINEMORTAL is a delightfully strange horror mystery shot entirely inside The Egyptian Theatre about a late-night party that uncovers something sinister. Grab your popcorn, gather your neighbors, and come celebrate local storytellers as we light up Main Street!
