Join the Valley Food Partnership for an educational excursion to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison to explore post-wildfire land stewardship! Taking place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Black Canyon Burn Scar Tour highlights the ongoing efforts to reclaim and restore burned landscapes.

Participants will learn how agricultural tools and innovative land practices are aiding ecosystem recovery. Special guest Ken Holsinger from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will join the tour to provide expert insights into regional land management strategies. This educational tour is free, open to the public, and includes complimentary transportation departing from downtown Montrose!
