Blues-rock musician Coco Montoya will perform at the Delta Egyptian Theater on Saturday, May 4, to celebrate the release of his sixth album, “Writing On The Wall,” under Alligator Records.
Mentored by Albert Collins and having toured with John Mayall, Montoya has developed a distinctive style in the blues genre.
Since his debut in 1995, Montoya has been recognized for his guitar work and vocals, winning the Blues Music Award for Best New Artist. “Writing On The Wall” is regarded as one of Montoya’s notable works, featuring his band members Jeff Paris, Nathan Brown and Rena Beavers
