Colorado Day: Sesquicentennial Celebration at Pioneer Town Museum

Step back in time and celebrate a massive milestone in state history! The Pioneer Town Museum warmly invites community members and visitors of all ages to join us on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, for Colorado Day—a special commemorate celebration marking Colorado’s 150th Anniversary (Sesquicentennial)!
We have lined up a full day of engaging, family-friendly activities designed to honor the rich history, diverse cultures, and pioneer heritage of the Centennial State. Start your morning off right with a delicious VA Pancake Breakfast before exploring the historic boardwalks, original structures, and specialty exhibits free of charge. Kids can participate in an interactive family scavenger hunt and a special community quilt activity where they can color their own quilt square after viewing the handcrafted Colorado 150 commemorative quilt made by the S&B Quilters’ Guild. Top off the afternoon with horse-drawn wagon rides and a featured keynote presentation by guest speaker Roland McCook. It is an ideal way to spend a summer Saturday learning, reflecting, and celebrating together in Delta County!
