Step into the 1820s with a full year of living history at the Fort Uncompahgre Interpretive Center! Our 2026 event series offers hands-on frontier experiences for all ages. From primitive archery and blacksmithing to acoustic music and holiday carols, discover the rugged spirit of the Old Spanish Trail. Mark your calendars for our seasonal encampments and fundraisers that keep Delta’s history alive!

Event Schedule

  • June Encampment (June 5–7, 2026): Featuring crafts of the frontier, Native American art, and primitive archery.

  • Robidoux Concert Fundraiser (Friday, August 21): An evening of live acoustic music.

  • Fall Encampment (October 2–4): Including the 3rd Annual Campfire Cookoff, blacksmith demonstrations, frying pan toss, and kids’ games.

  • Christmas at the Fort (December 4): Enjoy carols, a tree lighting, Santa Claus, warm drinks, and cookies.

  • New for 2027: The First Annual Winter Encampment from January 14–17!
