Step into the 1820s with a full year of living history at the Fort Uncompahgre Interpretive Center! Our 2026 event series offers hands-on frontier experiences for all ages. From primitive archery and blacksmithing to acoustic music and holiday carols, discover the rugged spirit of the Old Spanish Trail. June Encampment (June 5–7, 2026): Featuring crafts of the frontier, Native American art, and primitive archery.

Robidoux Concert Fundraiser (Friday, August 21): An evening of live acoustic music.

Fall Encampment (October 2–4): Including the 3rd Annual Campfire Cookoff, blacksmith demonstrations, frying pan toss, and kids’ games.

Christmas at the Fort (December 4): Enjoy carols, a tree lighting, Santa Claus, warm drinks, and cookies.
