Experience a beautiful union of literature, ecology, and live performance right here in Paonia! In an exciting collaborative effort, Juniper Circle Productions, the Paonia Literary Project, and The Learning Council / Arbol Farmers Market are thrilled to present “From Seed to Song”—a fantastic, two-evening event series inspired by the profound book Heartwood: The Wisdom and Healing Kinship of Trees by Lindsay Branham, Ph.D.

This unique double-header is a moving celebration of trees, deep ecology, and our enduring, soulful connection to the natural world around us. Through interactive market appearances, live musical responses, author readings, and collaborative theater, these back-to-back nights offer our community an artistic window into environmental kinship and healing. Come out for one evening or attend both—no tickets or registrations are required for these free community gatherings!

🌱 Part 1: Musical Pop-Up at Arbol Farmers Market

What to Expect: Stroll the local market stands and catch an intimate, live pop-up appearance by renowned regional musician Gabrielle Louise. She will be sharing a beautiful, custom musical response directly inspired by the themes of Heartwood, filling the open-air market with soulful acoustic strings and songwriting.

🌳 Part 2: Main Performance, Reading & Book Signing

When: Wednesday, June 24, 2026
Time: 5:30 PM
Where: KVNF Community Room, 215 Grand Ave, Paonia, CO 81428
What to Expect: Join us for the series’ main event showcase. Author Lindsay Branham, Ph.D. will take the stage to read select excerpts and discuss the deep restorative wisdom hidden within her book, Heartwood. Following the discussion, master creatives Gabrielle Louise and Gina Femia will deliver an evocative, highly immersive performance responding to the text through song and collaborative stage presence.
