GORP Act Trailhead Community Social

Join the Western Slope Conservation Center (WSCC) and High Country Conservation Advocates (HCCA) for a fun, informative outdoor gathering! The GORP Act Trailhead Community Social takes place on Friday, August 21st, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Horse Ranch Park Trailhead off Kebler Pass Road.
This community event offers a chance to explore a GORP (Gunnison Outdoor Resources Protection) Act landscape in person, get your conservation questions answered, and connect with fellow public lands enthusiasts. At 10:30 AM, WSCC Public Lands Committee Chairperson Mike Burkley will lead a short, all-levels hike along the scenic Dark Canyon Trail. Attendees can pick up complimentary campaign merchandise (including t-shirts and hats) and enjoy cold refreshments and fresh GORP mix!
