When he initiated the 1972 classic Will the Circle Be Unbroken album with his band (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), Earl and Doc with Roy Acuff, Mother Maybelle Carter, Jimmy Martin, Merle Travis, Vassar Clements, Norman Blake gathered for a historic week in the studio! (inducted into the Library of Congress as one of America’s most important recordings and the Grammy Hall. of Fame).
