New this year! Grand Mesa Nordic Council (GMNC) is holding a 15km freestyle race to help you work up to the 20km Mesa Meltdown (March 17). Be a part of this inaugural event and accept the challenge of skiing 15km on some Colorado’s finest trails.
If 15km is more than you want to bite off, they are also offering a 5km tour (not timed).
GMNC’s races are challenging for top athletes, but they’re also a lot of fun for the rest of us who just want to get out and test ourselves against a beautiful, well-groomed course.
The Feb 15 is a 15km freestyle race, so you can skate or classic ski (but prizes are awarded according to finish, not technique). The course route will depend on snow conditions.
Bib pickup and start are at Skyway Trailhead off of Highway 65 on the Grand Mesa.
