Stix & Stones Yarn Shop is thrilled to present the highly anticipated Mushroom & Lichen Dyeing Workshop featuring Fungi of the Rockies. Taking place on September 12th and 13th, 2026, this intensive, multi-day experience is guided by none other than internationally renowned expert Alissa Allen, the founder of Mycopigments.

During this fascinating, hands-on workshop, you will learn to explore the full spectrum of brilliant, rich dyes sourced entirely from wild Rocky Mountain fungi and lichens. Alissa will guide you through the science, identification, and extraction techniques required to transform regional, foraged organisms into beautiful, lasting fiber pigments. Hosted at the beautiful Big B’s Delicious Orchards in Paonia, the weekend serves as a wonderful retreat.
