Experience an intimate afternoon of music, heritage, and community inside one of Pioneer Town’s most beloved and historically rich spaces. On Sunday, June 28th at 3:00 PM, the Chapel of the Cross opens its doors for a remarkably unique, acoustic performance by celebrated Native American flutist Bobby Jimenez.

Bobby Poncito Jimenez, of Huichole and Mexican descent, specializes in performing on handcrafted instruments of his own making. His music seamlessly weaves together hauntingly beautiful melodies and storytelling inspired by the raw landscapes, natural elements, and deep-rooted traditions of the American West. Far more than a standard concert, this is an opportunity to hear the voice of the land itself, beautifully expressed through wood, breath, and memory.

Presented as a part of Colorado’s official 150th Anniversary festivities, this special performance highlights the vibrant voices and cultural traditions that have shaped the Western Slope over generations. The sublime natural acoustics and serene setting of the historic chapel combine to create a truly immersive, soulful listening experience you won’t want to miss.
