Celebrate Colorado Day at Fort Uncompahgre

Celebrate Colorado Day at Fort Uncompahgre
Join us for a special Colorado Day Open House at Fort Uncompahgre Interpretive Center in Delta on Saturday, August 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
This year is especially meaningful as Colorado celebrates its 150th birthday and Sesquicentennial, commemorating the state’s rich history and heritage since achieving statehood in 1876.
Visitors of all ages are invited to explore the reconstructed 1830s trading fort, meet knowledgeable interpreters, and discover the fascinating stories of the Old Spanish Trail, the fur trade, mountain men, traders, and the diverse cultures that shaped Colorado’s Western Slope.
Admission is free during the open house, making it a wonderful opportunity for families, history enthusiasts, and visitors to experience one of western Colorado’s unique historic sites.
Come celebrate Colorado’s past while honoring the people, cultures, and events that helped shape our state. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to learn something new, there’s something for everyone at Fort Uncompahgre.
