Kat Wilder and the Last Cows- Paonia Books
KVNF Community Room 233 Grand Ave, Paoniaoin author and rancher Kat Wilder for a reading and conversation about her newest book, The Last Cows. The book offers an intimate look at the joys, challenges, heartbreaks, and ethical questions of contemporary ranching in the American West, focusing on her experiences running Criollo cattle on public and private lands in southwest Colorado.
Kat will be joined by Cynthia Houseweart of Hotchkiss-based Princess Beef and author/plant biologist Susan Tweit for an engaging and thoughtful discussion blending biology, geology, natural history, and personal story.
